Hindustan Bakery was established in1948 by Late Shri Vinayak Mehendale, at Shaniwar Peth, Pune. India was a young country then, and with the fervour to make it strong, many entrepreneurs took it upon themselves to play a part. Shri. Vinayak Mehendale and his brother Sharad Mehandale, both first generation innovators set about to
build the legacy of Hindustan Bakery.
